Our Engagement
I didn't expect Scott to propose the evening that he did. I was visiting Scott's parents for a few days up at their house in Cape Cod and Scott was going to join us on Friday for a needed relaxing weekend. (It took him over 6 hours to drive up from Manhattan. Usually it takes just over 4 hours!) As soon as Scott drove into the driveway, he invited me take a walk on his childhood beach for the sunset, just a few blocks away. We walked quickly and within about 3 steps onto the sand, Scott proposed in his own sweet and romantic way. Of course I said, "yes!" We were so happy to be able to share such a special moment with Scott's parents for dinner and champagne when we got back to the house.
